Marybeth & Elena's Class Notes
The classroom has been busy and productive as the children push towards their publishing deadline. Stories
have been revised and typed, and the kids are in the process of illustrating their books. Subjects are varied an
include "The Ants and the Robin", "Italian Wall Lizards", "Flower and the Book", and "The Tropical Land'
among other wonderful titles. We can't wait to share our books with you!
On St. Patrick's day we took a break from our hard work for a little magic. The children constructed Lep-
rechaun traps in hopes of luring some of the magical beings into our classroom. The Leprechauns managed to
evade us, but did leave a small chocolate treat for everyone.
Last Friday marked our first Spanish class with Maria Lavezzo. The children were drawn to Maria's energy and
charisma as she taught them a simple greeting, the colors, and two wonderful songs. We finished our session
with a game of Pato Pato Ganso, or Duck Duck Goose. We are pleased to share that Maria will be joining us in
The Grove on Friday's through June.
