Sakiko and Javis’s Class Notes

We’re back and ready to dive into a fresh start! We hoped –and have heard– that everyone’s break was as wonderful and rejuvenating as imagined. We've enthusiastically returned to our classroom routines, rediscovering the rhythm of our daily schedule and reacquainting ourselves to the flow of being back at school. The first snowfall brought a surge of creativity, inspiring us to begin a vibrant mural depicting our favorite snow-day activities. Moving along with this creativity, and bringing it to the block area. We began a new exploration of innovative structures and intriguing shapes. This has proven to be a rewarding challenge, and one that pushes us to think imaginatively while inspiring work collaboration. Beyond the classroom walls, we’ve been venturing outside our comfort zones. Gym with Barry, has been filled with new and thrilling activities, with wall climbing quickly becoming a class favorite. In Garden, we’re delving into the wonders of the greenhouse, learning how it continues to support our kitchen’s needs even in the depths of winter. Helping to harvest fresh produce for our school lunches was exciting and memorable. To top it all off, our reading buddies designed a new and improved obstacle course for us to explore and discover. So far, we have settled into the groove of the class fantastically and the momentum is only building. We’re eagerly looking forward to unveiling our projects in the coming weeks and sharing all that we’ve been working on with you.
