AMY'S CLASS NOTES

We are so very grateful to Indie and Eider for opening their farm to us for a field trip full of friendship and fun! We learned about the grafting process and even saw a tree in the shape of a circle! The children snuggled with chickens, enjoyed the pigs, and ran free in the grassy fields. Josie introduced us to the different kinds and sizes of eggs that the different animals lay. It was a joy filled day full of sunshine and smiles.

Houston. we have liftoff! We are noting interesting differences in the germination ratio differences in the V and W tomato seeds. We carefully planted only one seed in each soil pod, yet we have a set of twins. We planted 55 V and 55 W seeds. 40 W's sprouted and 27 V's sprouted. Why do you think these differences are occurring? What is your guess as to which seeds spent time in space? Stay tuned, we will be revealing the answer next week!

It is time to plan our end of the year culminating activity! Tanner and Eider have volunteered their expertise to teach the class how to fish. Let's turn it into a family fun day with a fish fry and our fresh tomatoes from space! Plans and details will follow. Please plan to join us for a delicious day!
