Marybeth and Helene's Class Notes

Thank you to all of the friends and family that came out to celebrate at our end of year party! The kids enjoyed sharing their books, paintings and projects. It was a wonderful way to wrap up their year-long research of the sea and all the ways in which it has changed us and we change it.

The Hayground community wrote down their wishes for the sea on the night of our class celebration. Many people wished for cleaner waterways and healthier sea-life (although, someone wished for a real mermaid!) As we head into the summer and spend more time at the seaside, our class' hope is that we can all be the change we wish to see in the sea!

We closed out our final week of school with a sunny day at the beach, our last visits to kitchen and studio for the year, a field trip to Amber Waves Farm and, everyone's favorite, Field Day! We couldn't have asked for a better last week. Wishing everyone a safe and happy summer!
