Julie's Class Notes
We sure deserve this beautiful day, after a week of flooding, earthquakes, and a solar eclipse!
This year, each student was given their own calendar to keep track of our class projects. As a class, we set deadlines, plan timelines and keep track of the work we have to finish. This morning, after a discussion about the freedom that comes with being able to manage your life and work, we set deadlines for the final projects of the 23/24 school year!
It seems unbelievable but we are nearing the final days of our time together this school year. We have outlined components of our projects. We will have a final Hayground Market sale in May, but be- fore we get there, the kids are adding an exciting element to our store. They are creating toys of their own design which will be revealed at our store.
We will decide what to use our money for by April 29 (the day we get back from break) and announce it on April 30. So far the kids want the organization to be local and one that doesn’t receive a lot in donations. They are also interested in the percentage of donations that go directly to the cause. The have identified some wonderful organizations to think about as recipients of our contribution.
We are getting excited for the Budding Authors Celebration on April 19.
