This month we have been busy watching the changes in the world around us.

Read MoreWith family at the center of our worlds, it is only natural we started the year sharing our family stories with
our classmates.
Read MoreIt’s hard to believe we have already made it to the fourth week of school! It has been so nice for the children to reunite with old friends and make a few new ones.

Read MoreMarch arrived in true March fashion with windy days and wildly fluctuating temperatures. Snow flur-ries one day, shoes and socks off the next.
Read MoreHard to believe we have been back at school already for over two weeks! We had a nice week of re-mote learning together, where we observed and drew our narcissus bulbs, learned a new poem, and shared stories.
Read MoreErin and Kevin were inspired by the rocks that Leo and Kiera painted last week, and coincidentally, Kevin had thought of that project, too. He actually thought maybe the kids could make Pet Rocks! In our classroom, the kids collect rocks daily — sharing them, using them to put into our Above and Beyond jar, wondering if they are crystals or even dinosaur fossils!
Read MoreFall is upon us! The warm weather means lots of time outside. We’ve been creating dinosaur soup in the mud kitchen, cutting down sunflowers with Jon Snow, and getting soaked at the water table. In the classroom we have been getting used to our daily routines.
Read MoreWelcome back Hayground families! The first two weeks of school have been full of discovery. We have been spending time exploring the campus, getting to know our friends, reading books, making art, and playing outside.

Read MoreThis month and last, four caterpillars made their homes in our classroom, emerging into beautiful Monarchs. We named them Sparky, Vanilla, Baby Lily and Chocolate, in order of their births. Fortunately the weather was warm enough to release them, and we wished them well on their journeys to a warmer climate.
Read MoreSpring seems to be here for real this time! With the warmer weather will come more time spent outside. Probably an updated/seasonal set of backup clothes will be in order, as well as sunscreen. On particularly sunny days we ask that if your child uses sunscreen, to apply it before school, and then we can reapply it in the afternoon. We intend to take advantage of the weather to do some exploring as spring slowly unfolds.
